Hopback In Brewhouse

Hopback In Brewhouse

Nowadays, with the development of the craft brewery industry, people have higher and higher request for the beer brewing equipment. For example, for hop adding, they are not satisfied with just adding hops from the boil, they tried different ways. Such as through a hop gun, a hopback, or dry hopping.....let’s have some discussion about the hopback.

The hopback is a small vessel with a filter inside. It is usually settled before heat exchanger.

Hops will be added in the filter. When hot wort running through it, the aroma of hops will be caught by the wort. Because it’s a closed system, the aroma will not volatile. Then it will be rapidly cooled by heat exchanger, as a result, the flavor could be perfectly preserved in the wort.

How do you think of that? Welcome to contact us to have more discussions.
