Mirror Finish Interior VS 2B Finish Interior Of Beer Brewing Equipment

Mirror Finish Interior VS 2B Finish Interior Of Beer Brewing Equipment

Recently, more and more people in beer brewing field pay attention to the fermenters’ interior.

For the interior shell, there are usually two kinds of finish: 2B plate with polishing, acid washing and passivation, mirror plate with polishing.

1. 2B plate with acid washing and passivation finish interior tanks

2B plate interior tanks with passivation after polishing for the purpose of enhancing the spontaneous formation of the protective passive film.

2B plate is easy to maintain when using. If some slight scratch happens, it has little effect on the surface.
And it is also could be seen easily if there is somewhere haven’t been cleaned up.
Its disadvantage is very obviously: not beautiful enough.

2. For the mirror interior tanks

Its polishing precision is higher than 2B plate.
Because it has already has the protective film, it won’t be pickling and passivation. The welding line after polishing could be seen beautiful.

Its shortcomings:

a. The mirror polishing is relatively complex to maintain since it's easy to be scratched. Once be scratched, it will be easy to hide bacteria.

b. It's hard to judge if the tank is clean enough after cleaning due to the reflection of the mirror polishing.

So, which do you prefer?
