How To Judge The Quality Of Wort
The purpose of wort lautering is to get clear wort. And how to judge if your wort is good or not?
After the wort enter kettle tun 5-10min, you could take the wort sample by a small breaker for inspection.
There are some factors for good wort:
1.Colour: clear and colorless, the color should be golden or dark yellow.
2.Level of clear: Few particulate suspecting, no Fog turbidity.
3.Flavour: have Characteristic aroma of malt.
4.Tasting: Taste the wort with malt aroma and sweetness, no peculiar smell.
5.Inspection: The iodine solution does not show color, PH<5.6.
