How do I clean my brewery equipment?

Cleaning of beer brewing equipment is essential in breweries. At present, most breweries use the CIP system to clean the beer brewing equipment. There is no need to disassemble the pipeline and equipment. The cleaning liquid is connected to the cleaned equipment and pipeline with fixed pipelines to form a closed system for circular cleaning. Simple operation, thorough cleaning and sterilization. So how do we use CIP to clean our brewery equipment?

For the brewhouse, The cleaning protocol is as follows.
1. Rinse all pots, tanks and piping systems with tap water;
2. Use 2%-4% NaOH solution for circular flushing or soaking for more than 30 minutes;
3. Flush all of the above systems with warm water until clean.
4. Spare.

For the wort cooling system, it mainly includes the hot wort pipeline between the outlet of the swirling tank and the plate heat exchanger, the plate heat exchanger, the cold wort pipeline from the plate heat exchanger to the bottom of the fermenter cone, and the sampling port. The cleaning protocol is as follows.
1. Clean the entire system with tap water;
2. Use 2%-4% NaOH solution to circulate and rinse for more than 30 minutes;
3. Flush all of the above systems with warm water until clean.
4. Spare.
5. Sterilize with hot water above 85°C for more than 20 minutes before use.

For the fermenter, it mainly includes the dry hopping port, the sampling port, the rotary racking arm, etc. The cleaning protocol is as follows.
1. Clean the entire system with tap water;
2. Use 2%-4% NaOH solution to circulate and rinse for more than 30 minutes;
3. Flush all of the above systems with warm water until clean.
4. Spare.
5. Sterilize with hot water above 85°C for more than 20 minutes before use.
