Welcome to visit our brewery equipment website!
As we all know that glycol cooling is an essential part in beer brewing as the wort coming out the heat exchanger need to be cooled down immediately to certain temperature in fermenters, therefore the timely and enough supply of glycol waters is an important part that need to be considered, so how to choose the glycol cooling system for your brewery? Let’s find it!
First, the capacity of Glycol Water Tank:
Just like hot liquor tanks, usually we’d suggest to go with a double batches of glycol water tank to ensure the enough supply of waters especially when there are double batches of beer brewing proceeded per day.
Second, the productivity and number of chillers:
The productivity of chillers depends on the specific scale of brewhouse, for example, 3HP chillers are usually suggested for 500L brewhouse around and 5HP chillers for 1000l around. As for the number, we usually suggest to go with two sets of chillers in brewery systems, mainly for two main reasons:
1) Saving energy: when there are high requirements for cooling like all the tanks need to be cooled down at same time, the two chillers could worked together to provide glycol water, and when some cases there are only one or two tanks need to be cooled and cooling demands is small, one chiller running would be enough.
2) Emergency situations: if one of the chillers failed to work someday for any reasons, the other one could still ensure there are glycol water for our beers, this is in case any loss happens for some emergency situations.
Other configurations and more details to be discussed to meet your personal demands and special requests, we shall be honored to support you build your brewery dream in any way we can.
