Please allow me to share the malt hydrator with you in this part.
As we all know that throughout the whole beer brewing process, mashing is the first important progress we should pay attention to. During the mashing process, there are some basic requirements including get a high obtaining of malt and achieve the wort with appropriate concentration. In order to let the soluble substances dissolve as soon as possible, the malt hydrator is designed to preprocessing the malt and make the mashing more complete.
As the appearance of malt hydrator, we could supply two styles for your options, first is the glass one in the above photo, and this is also for better observation, and the other one is made of complete stainless steel.
The working principle of malt hydrator:
As you can see the marks from the above photo, the malt and water will be entering into the vessel at the same time, this way could let the malt and water well mixed before the mashing. The design of the arch water inlet pipe make the water going into the vessel in tangent way, this way can effectively avoid the malted barley become lumps when combining with water.
What should be pay more attention to is the water flow into the hydrator should be 78℃ hot water from the HLT, then we can start the mashing process better.
