Time distribution between three vessel/combined three vessel brewhouse

Time distribution between three vessel/combined three vessel brewhouse

Usually 1 batch brewing may take around 8 hours.
As you know, the time distribution may estimate as something like this:
0.5-0.8 hours for milling, 2-2.5hours for mashing, 1.5-2 hours for lautering and sparging,
1.5-2hours for heating and boiling, 0.5-1hours for whirlpool and standing, 0.5 hours for wort cooling and transferring to fermenters.

The combined three vessel brewhouse have different combinations. One of the most popular style will be [MLT/HLT + KWT].
(Mash/lauter tun on the left upper tank, hot water tun on the left lower tank, kettle/whirlpool tun is the right tank.)

Let's take the above combined three vessel brewhouse [MLT/HLT + KWT] as an example:

The mashing and lautering process will be done in the MLT.
The whirlpool and boiling process will be done in the KWT.
That is to say, the second brew couldn't start until the wort of the first brew is moved to KWT.
As a result, for one batch brew, it may take around7-8 hours;
For two batches brew, it may take around 12-14hours;
For three batches brew, it may take around 16-18 hours.
In addition, the HLT will be too small to supply the brewing water.

For 3 vessel brewhouse [MT+LT+KWT], you can start the next brewing after the mashing process complete.
Then three batches brewing will take around 12-14 hours.
