Top mounted or bottom mounted rake, which is the best?

Top mounted or bottom mounted rake, which is the best?

Damon: Yes, you are right. Bottom mounted rake looks more stable.
We also propose customers choose the bottom mounted rake if customers prefer the rake can be automatically lifted.
As we know, rake lifting need stronger power and more stable basic.
We feel like top mounted rake is better for you because you didn’t the automatic lifting function.
As we didn’t recommend the automatic lifted function for you(but there is a spent grain dozer manual lifted in the mash/lauter tun ).
Under this situation, top mounted and bottom mounted rake are almost as stable.
But there is a difference between both of them. The installation of top mounted rake is easier for you.

Is top mount a cheaper option than bottom mount?
Damon: Their cost are same. Both of them have same rakes and same motors. Only difference is location.
In addition, automatically lifted function will need 3500USD extra cost.
