What is a Steam Condenser

Hello! Here is Sharon from Tiantai Beer Equipment Co., Ltd.
Welcome to visit our brewery equipment website!
Please allow me to share this article of steam condenser with you.

As you may see from the above photo, the bent pipe like “L” upside down is the steam condenser used in beer brewing equipment. It is customized for two main reasons:
1) Firstly, now that in most countries, there are strict standards toward the gas releasing. As we all know, there will be tremendous amount of steam generated when boiling, in order to avoid releasing that part of steam outside directly, we customized this steam condenser to reach this purpose;
2) Secondly, now that most of breweries are being installed indoors and usually have certain areas, therefore the tanks are usually designed according to the dimensions and the top of them are usually not very far away from the roof, when the tremendous amount of steam being released with high temperature, it will condenses on the walls or ceiling and possibly resulting in severe surface damages if don’t take measures to stop it.

Working principle of steam condenser:
It is operated by using the cold tap water to condense the steam inside your boil tank, on the inside of the chamber there’s a misting nozzle that blends the cold tap water with the steam causing the steam from the kettle to immediately cool and condense back into water droplets within the chamber. The condensed water simply drains out of the bottom through a waste hose.
As the amount of tap water contains a lot of impurities including DMS, etc., it is usually not being recycled except for some rough cleaning purposes.
Of course we will continue to strive to improve the configurations of our brewery equipment and do our best to improve your beer brewing experiences.
Other configurations and details to be discussed to meet your personal demands and special requests, we shall be honored to support you build your brewery dream in any way we can.
