Why do we need glycol chlling unit in brewing process?

In a complete brewing system, glycol chilling unit is very important. It consist of chiller, glycol water pump and glycol water tank.
Glycol chilling unit is used to supply glycol water for wort cooling, fermenters cooling and bright beer tanks cooling(if there is any).

Glycol water circulate from glycol jacket with fermenters and BBTs to glycol water tanks to cool these tanks.

Some clients may would like to use a cold room for wort, fermenters and BBTs cooling.
If the cold room is chosen, there are sereral issues need to be considered.
One is how to cool the hot wort to the fermentation temperature within a short period of time.
The other is how to keep different temperatures for different fermenters as different temperature is required at different fermentation stages.
