Brewery Equipment-Beer Filtration Equipment --Candle DE Filter

Recently some guys asked what machine should be chosen for beer filtration. There are many types of filters for beer filtration, among which the plate frame type, candle type, and horizontal disc type are the most common.
Today I am very happy to introduce to you one of the products that Tiantai Company can provide - Candle DE filter.

Candle DE (Diatomaceous Earth) filters are commonly used in the beer brewing process for filtration. Diatomaceous Earth is a natural material made from fossilized diatoms, which are microscopic algae with porous skeletons. Using a Candle DE filter in beer brewing offers several advantages:

Clarification:
Candle DE filters are highly effective at removing suspended particles, yeast cells, and other solids from the beer. This leads to improved clarity and brightness in the final product.

Consistency
: Candle DE filters provide a consistent and reliable method of filtration, ensuring that each batch of beer achieves the desired level of clarity and quality.

Flexibility: Candle DE filters can handle a wide range of beer types and styles. They can effectively filter both lagers and ales, as well as different degrees of hop bitterness and color.

Particle Removal: Candle DE filters excel at removing fine particles that might contribute to haze or off-flavors in the beer. This results in a cleaner, crisper taste and appearance.

Extended Shelf Life: The removal of yeast cells and other potential spoilage organisms through DE filtration can lead to an extended shelf life for the beer, allowing it to maintain its quality over time.

Preservation of Flavor: Unlike some other filtration methods that might strip out some flavor compounds, DE filters generally don't have a significant impact on the beer's flavor profile.

Efficiency: Candle DE filters can operate at a relatively high flow rate, making them efficient for large-scale commercial brewing operations.

Minimal Chemical Use: Candle DE filtration typically requires minimal use of chemicals or additives, which aligns well with the desire to maintain the beer's natural characteristics.

Cost-Effectiveness: In terms of filtration equipment and operation costs, DE filters can be relatively cost-effective, especially when compared to more complex filtration methods.
