Dry Hopping with Tiantai Hop Doser Dry Hopping Tank

The dry hopping tank, also called dry hopper, hop doser or hop pitching tank is usually used for dry hopping with pressure for the fermenters. When setting up a brewery from the very beginning, a hop pitching tank can be a smart, low-cost way to improve the fermenting part of the brewing process.

Whats the advange of using a Hop Doser?

* Avoid oxygen pick-up
* Better aroma pick up
* Dry hopping under pressure
* Save more beers

The bottom Butterfly Valve is connected with the dry hopping port on top of the fermenter.
The pressure won’t be released during the dry hopping process, which can minimize the negative effect to beer as much as possible.
And it also can effectively reduce the hygienic risk.

What Pressure When Using the Hop Doser?

Hopping under pressure, would be the most challangeable job for brewer. Especially after several days' fermentation, you beers are under super vigorous status. And it's more potential risk of Hop Valcano if with wrong operation.
So, before clamping your hop doser onto your tank, check the pressure gauge on fermenter firstly. Make sure Pressure(doser) ≥ Pressure(fermenter). And do remember to release extra air (especially for O2) before keeping CO2 charging.
Once pressure is setting, you can try to open the butterfly valve, and let the hops drop into fermenter under action of gravity only.

Generally speaking, the hop dosing tank is easy to be installed and detached and operated as well.

Other configurations and details to be discussed to meet your personal demands and special requests, we shall be honored to support you building your brewery dream in any way we can.
