Is it better to use hot water tank or hot water heater to supply hot water?



Now more and more brewmasters take economical hot water supply solutions into consideration, then is it better to use hot water tank or hot water heater?

According to our experience, we still think hot water tank is a good way to supply hot water.
As we know, more and more brewmasters prefer add hot liquor tank into the system. The hot water tank can recycle the hot water(cool the wort by heat exchanger in the first stage), it helps save a lot energy. But the hot water heater can not recycle hot water. Besides the recycled hot water also can be used for sparging and second mashing(can add mixing station for brewhouse).

Now most brewmasters prefer steam heating method, also is a standard for big capacity brewhouse. And the hot water tank also can heat by steam. Then we think it is not necessary buy seperate hot water heater. You know it also need to heat by the power.
