What are the characteristics of the whirlpool tun in the equipment brewhouse of Tiantai Brewery Equipment?

The whirlpool tun is the place for separation of hot trub from the wort.
In addition to a bottom drain, multiple outlets on the side of tank
are commonly installed in order to cool the wort before it completely settled.
Normally we suggest 1-2 outlets on side for microbrewery.
There is also a trub retainer around the wort outlet to stop the trub from going away.
The optimal whirlpool is a height-to-diameter ratio of 1:1.

In a big whirlpool tank, the wort outlet is far enough from the trub. The trub will not flow out with the wort. But in a small whirlpool tank, trub is too close to the wort outlet. Unavoidably, some trub will go into heat exchanger together with wort.
And a spray nozzle is necessary to be installed at the center of whirlpool tank bottom.
This is a supplement for the CIP ball in order to completely clean the trub at the bottom. Because it is hard for CIP ball to finish the work at this condition.

Whirlpool tun should also be adequately and safely vented to allow for the rapid increase in pressure that is caused by boiling-hot wort quickly entering the tank.
