What equipment do I need for a craft beer brewing system?

The brewery system consists of a variety of hardware equipment such as saccharification kettle, filter tank, boiling kettle, whirlpool, temporary storage tank, hot water tank, etc., and they have different functions.

Malt storage
First, at the front end of the craft brewery, we will be equipped with a malt raw material warehouse to store malt and perform metering and cleaning functions to meet the subsequent raw material crushing process. Small beer brewing equipment may not need this step of equipment and can perform dry powder operation.

Malt crushing
The malt crushing device crushes malt, the main raw material for brewing. The degree of malt breakage will affect the efficiency and results of later wort mashing. Beer equipment usually uses a pair of roller crushing equipment to completely crush the malt core without damaging the outer husk, ensuring the efficiency and stability of the later saccharification process. Wheat husks act as a natural filter. Confirm the crushing effect by adjusting the distance between the crushing core and the drum.

Beer brewhouse equipment
The brewery system is the core part of the entire beer equipment. After the malt is broken, it enters the brewery equipment for saccharification. A brewery system usually consists of a hot water tank, mash tun, filter, boiler and rotating water tank. This requires the temperature control of the brewery system and the design of the filter tank to meet the design requirements of the beer brewing process, and ultimately complete the high-quality wort preparation process and achieve a certain sugar yield.

Beer fermentation equipment
The beer fermentation system consists of fermentation tanks, refrigeration systems, control systems, pipeline valves, etc. Temperature control is very important during the beer fermentation process. After the beer fermentation is completed, it can be placed in a sake tank to continue fermentation and aging. Filling and storage are carried out by processes such as centrifugation or instant sterilization and pasteurization.

Beer filtration and sterilization equipment
The filtration system of beer equipment filters out residual yeast, wheat mash, hop particles and certain microorganisms in the fermented mature beer puree to clarify the turbid liquor. It also slows down the spoilage of wine, improves beer stability and drinking hygiene, and ensures longer storage. Of course, many craft beers now prefer to drink fresh beer. This type of beer has not been filtered and sterilized and requires the entire filling process to ensure high standards of process requirements, but the storage period of the beer will be shortened.

Beer filling equipment
Beer filling equipment has a variety of specifications to choose from, such as glass bottles, cans, tinplate cans, and fresh beer 20L, 30L American standard barrels and European standard barrels, etc., depending on the production capacity of the brewery and different filtration and sterilization methods.
